System Administrator

Position Description:

As a System Administrator at Open Advantage, you’ll be responsible for administering networks and providing top-notch support to our diverse range of small to medium-sized business clients. Your expertise will be put to the test as you tackle a wide range of tasks, from troubleshooting desktop issues to provisioning servers. You’ll also serve as a trusted advisor, offering consulting services on IT matters and assisting clients with their technical needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Administer and maintain client networks, ensuring maximum uptime and security
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues across various platforms and devices
  • Provision and configure servers, desktops, and other network infrastructure
  • Provide expert consulting services to clients on IT matters, including system integration and optimization
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver comprehensive solutions to clients
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and trends, applying knowledge to drive innovation and excellence

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field — Experience is always the better alternative
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • CompTIA certifications (e.g., A+, Network+, Security+) and/or Cisco certifications (e.g., CCNA, CCNP)
  • 2+ years of experience in system administration, network engineering, or a related field
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical information to non-technical stakeholders
